HMC Autumn Tour 2024

If you’re an experienced trainer we know you understand that humans are complex. Exercise by itself is not enough.  Like our tagline says – It’s much more than movement.  Having a great diet also isn’t enough.  If you’re highly stressed, not sleeping well, and have gastric reflux – HIIT with a keto-diet  won’t be the best way to start your client on a journey to health.

The Holistic Movement Coach Programme teaches movement coaches to work with the entire human.  This workshop will expose you the wide range of tools you can use to make your clients healthier and move better.

Wellington – Friday 3rd May

Christchurch – Saturday 4th May

Auckland – Sunday 5th May

Workshop Description

10:00 -10.15 Introductions

10.15 -11.15: Session 1 – Blood Testing for Health

Blood lipid tests:
When your stressed out middle-aged client comes in telling you that his doctor says his LDL cholesterol is high, what does this really mean?  We unpack the basics to help you and your clients navigate blood lipid tests.

Adrenal testing:
You don’t need expensive adrenal tests to understand adrenal function.  There are key symptoms and indicators on standard blood tests that give you a clear read on how to understand how stress is affecting your clients. Learn how to read adrenal function simply.

Testing for toxicity:
We take you through the bottom line on blood tests, hair tests, and many other tests of toxicity.  More importantly we’ll share our favourite detox tools with you and our approach to detoxification.

11.30– 12.30: Session 2 – Key Movement Patterns and How to Train Them 1

At Holistic Movement Coach we use a programming framework that includes key athletic movements and key lifting movements.  We’ll show you how we combine these to write programmes that will make your clients well rounded and adaptable. This first session will outline the key movement patterns and will take you through practical drills to train athletic movements.

12.30-1.15 Lunch

1.15-2.15: Session 3 – Key Movement Patterns and How to Train Them 2

It’s time to get practical. Be prepared to lift.  We’re going through a range of exercises to train key lifting patterns.  We’ll show you some of our favourite tricks here.  We’re also going to explore how to use isolation exercises to fill in “strength deficits” in your programmes

2.30-3.30: Session 4 – HMC Holistic Case Studies

In this session we’ll take you through some of our favourite clients – what we did to help them, and the outcomes.  This session gives you an insight into what we do with clients and will show you a range of exercises and techniques that you can apply in your work
