Julia has had a passion for health and fitness for as long as she can remember. She has always loved anything outdoors and has come from a background of competitive horse riding, horse racing, and martial arts. Being just a little bit of a perfectionist in all the above has led to a lifelong pursuit on how to improve herself and others to get the best out of their performance.
After a series of serious injuries and surgeries which resulted in chronic pain and massive lifestyle adjustments, Julia has developed a strong interest in rehabilitation and ways to improve / optimize movement. She has implemented these with a range of different clients and achieved excellent results. She finds deep enjoyment in helping people to achieve things that they never thought that they would be able to do.
Julia is very aware of how health and lifestyle factors can impair or improve performance and general well-being. This is a big part of her coaching philosophy. She works with clients to identify and adjust their lifestyle which leads to better all-round results.
Learning and self-improvement has also been a priority for Julia. She is self-professed geek and puts a lot of time and effort into learning new things. She has also been very lucky to work with great teachers and mentors.
Julia works from her boutique studio set amongst the grapevines in Weedons, just south of Christchurch.
